Being a tour guide is quite an exciting profession. However, being a professional tour guide is quite a responsible job, too. You meet many people, who rely on your skills and knowledge to lead them properly through their desired tour. We all know that leading a tour does not require only to read some facts about certain buildings. It requires passion, devotion, desire, friendly attitude and a sense of humor.

As you have probably seen, we offer regularly planned tours of London and private tours of London. We do offer private day trips from London to various destinations in the UK, as well.

We are looking for people who would like to work with us on a freelance basis. Currently, we are not providing full time jobs, but we are always glad to have a nice team of tour guides, willing to work with us on a freelance basis.

Which are our criteria?

  • Knowledge of at least one of the following languages: German, French, Dutch, Russian, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Spanish language.
  • A great personal presentation
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Experience in leading small and large groups of people (not necessarily tours)
  • Ability to communicate the history of London and entertain people from all over the world
  • Ability to work on a freelance basis
  • Ability to work unsupervised

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a tour guide, your job will involve introducing tourists to the UK’s unique and popular attractions, such as historical monuments, botanical gardens, Royal Parks, museums, art galleries and other areas of cultural interest.

If you enter this profession, your primary responsibilities will include planning and organising tours around a certain area of interest. You will play the role of a cultural ambassador, offering commentary and interesting titbits of information, which will allow visitors to fully experience and enjoy the UK’s social, cultural and historical highlights.
