The adventure starts in the morning from Sunny Beach or Nessabar. You will head towards Strandzha Mountain, which is the last mountain of the European Union, bordering Turkey. Strandzha Mountain a rich and diverse flora and fauna, unique within Europe. 50% of Bulgaria’s flora can be observed in Strandzha Nature Park and the area has 121 habitat types. The departure is in the morning from Sunny Beach or Nessabar. The journey proceeds along the length of the Balkan Mountains towards the west. Your first stop is in the village of Zheravna. Zheravna has been one of the wealthiest villages from nearly 400 years. The locals still live in ethnographic houses and try to preserve the glorious history of their ancestors. There are more than 200 national style houses in the village of Zheravna. There, you will enjoy a tour, visiting the house of “Rusi Chorbadzhi”, who was one of the wealthiest traders in the past, as well as the house of one of the greatest Bulgarian writers of 20 century, “Yordan Yovkov”. You will also visit the local orthodox church. The lunch is in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant located in the nearby village of Katunishte. After the lunch you will advance to “Karandila National Park” or also known as the Blue Mountains. It is located in the heart of the Balkan Mountains at an altitude of nearly 1km height. You will enjoy a chairlift ride, which lasts for about 20 minutes from the top of the mountain to the bottom. The trip starts in the morning from Sunny Beach or Nessabar. The departure is early in the morning from Sunny Beach or Nessebar. This journey will reveal you the beauty of Valley of Roses, located nearly 200km from Sunny Beach towards west. The first sight to be visited is the Museum of Roses in Kazanlak. You will have a guided tour of the museum, unveiling the secrets of Roses. Therefore you will proceed deep into the Balkan Mountains, visiting the Complex of Damascena. The complex is the largest rose oil producer in Bulgaria. There you are going to have a special guided tour and explanation of the rose oil production. The lunch is in the complex. The trip proceeds to the memorial church of “Birth of Jesus”, covered with remarkable golden domes. Later during the day you will visit the great complex of “ETAR”, which is an ethnographic Bulgarian complex with nearly 50 traditional houses from 18th and 19th century, located on the north side of the Balkan Mountains. After “ETAR” complex, you will visit one of the greatest national sights in Bulgaria, the Monument of Freedom. It is build as a memorial for the liberation of the country from the Ottoman domination.
